On TST's site they suggest only using their GSK kits with a #4 or #10 plate. I currently am running a #5 and was considering a GSK kit. Why does TST not recommend using the GSK kit with other fuel plates? I ran a #11 and a 3k GSK on my 97' without issues. Just wondering what the deal is here??? TIA

Because you typically have to do the Gov arm adjustment to make it work right. It's just a pump, make it work for you.

Look on the PDR web site for the Gov arm adjustment procedures in the technical section.

Thx for the reply Jim. As a matter of fact I checked the gov lever today thinking that may be my prob. The lever hits the point on the plate perfectly. So it's safe to say that if I did install a 3k GSK I would also need to adjust the gov lever?

When you add the Gov springs it will change the position of the Gov arm a little, this is why it requires at least a check. Typically the #10 plate is the only one that doesn't need adjusting.

Any plate..... any plate will work with Gov springs as long as you know how to adjust for differences or tune a 12V.
