Recently installed a 3K GSK and, what a difference it made in the off idle performance! However, I have lost that big kick in the seat and highway acceleration that I had after the TC locked up. Also, my EGTs are down at WOT. Per the guys at Piers, I have slid my plate (#10) forward slightly and done the governor arm adjustment. There seems to be a slight improvement but not back to where it was. Am I looking for more than I should? The truck is no dog by any stretch of the imagination. Any suggestions out there?

well from your info, it looks like u have a 6 plate and that i guess u have a 180 pump. If set correctly u should be able to spin between 3400 and 3500 at the stock adjustment of the springs, ie. number of turns on the nut. U should have better mid range and top end. Your top end MPH should be better and your WOT egt's should go up. Make sure u are not wastegating too early. 33 psi boost should be pretty good with the 6 plate. Also, the springs let u pull more through every gear, which in turn gives u more inertia for the next gear, which in turn makes it less difficult to pull the next gear. So before u would fuel hard, then shift too early and have to pull hard again in the next gear. With Gov springs the lock up should feel softer in OD. Adding GOV springs is a lot easier on the input shaft and on the transmission in general.
