Ok so say I decided I wanted to convert from 3K to a 4K GSK. How would I do so?

I'm supposed to be having HD exh. valve springs put in for my PacBrake, but I can't find anyone who can do it any time soon. (no offense intended Tom, I'm meaning local too)

I'm considering either ordering another set, or I can get 6 off of my buddy who has the set of 12 and just pay him $$ for them.

Just wondering what/how/if I can convert to a 4K GSK easily.

Thanks,

If I remember correctly, the only difference between the 3K and 4K GSK is the baby spring. The HD valve springs should be put in, but you will be OK as long as you don't get wild with it. The reason you need them is to prevent the valves from floating when you go over about 3500 rpm. I think that's right. You can order just the 6 intake springs from Piers. Not too expensive.

(not affiliated with anyone, but that's where I got mine).

I concur with Rams-n-Hog. Just inside(smallest) spring is different.

Just don't get over 3400-3500 rpm until you get the valve springs changed. And even if you do, while you got the head off just get it ported and ringed... . :D

4k gsk springs

How much does it cost for the 4k baby springs? Can i buy them seperate or do i have to buy a 4k kit?
