Removed the sponge of a gasket and replaced with RV putty tape.

Cut excess off with plastic razor blade.

Smoothed over with mineral spirits

No more leak.

3rd brake light leak

Good tip Mr E. - That is a lot easier than moving to a dryer climate:D. Say hi to the Mrs for me.

That must be a common problem. My '99 leaked when i first got it. A little rtv solved the problem. 2 1/2 years later with no leaks.

What tiped you off

That your light was leaking? I have not found any water or smelled any musty odor. So how did you tell it was leaking.

Moisture build up

So how did you tell it was leaking.

Moisture build up on the inside, When it got cold windows were always fogging up and the defroster could not keep up.

Decided to take light out to check to see if it was leaking, and the gasket was soaking wet, it flowed water right through it.

Once it was removed I looked inside and saw drops of condensation, let it dry put for a few days, removed interior rugs and let dry out.
