I bought a 2007 5. 9 4X4 and want some step bars. Those of you that have the Westin bars on your trucks, I need some feedback. I want the step to be low enough to help getting in and out. I measured the front door threashold and it is 24. 5 inches. How far down is the top of the westin step from the door threashold? On the QUAD cab installs, Do you need a center support for the step bar?

I am looking at the 23-2310 polished stainless "E" series bars.

What about the NASTA bars??? Thanks, Chris

I have some stainleess streel ones I bought much cheaper than wESTINS THAT i am very happy with ,If your interested ,check out ,,, Popularlink.com

I have the Westin platinum series, black powder coated stainless steel, lifetime warrantee. I have had them on for 3+ years, they still look great and work very well, I got them because my wife could not easily get into the truck, with them it is much easier, it is also much easier to strap the kids in when you are standing on the bars.

Looks good. After being jerked around by suppliers I went with OEM wheel to wheel rails. dealer will put on next week when 08 arrives. Like the look of the bull bar. what brand and any mod needed to install.

Hi Chris,

I have had the tube steps on 2 other 3d gens and what bothered me most was when I stepped onto them, I then had to duck way down as they elevated me too far and I am only 5'8"

I know they are spendy but have you considered these?

AMP Research

I have them on my 05 and appreciate them each time I use them, passengers really like em too.

Matt400, I have seen those and they ARE nice. I was stretching the budget to get the truck... . not that I want to settle for second best but I have to buy what I can afford now. Thanks!!
