2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 3rd gen bed on 2nd gen

Anybody know if a 3rd gen dually bed can be put on a 2nd gen? With or without modifications. Thanks

theres a 1st gen dually with a 2nd gen bed around here, looks good but not helpful to your question

I've never seen it done, but there's really no reason it can't be done. All it takes is bolting the box down to the frame. Might have to fill some holes and drill some new ones. Not sure how the body lines would match up, but photoshop might give you and idea of where that's headed.

The body lines and the gas cap is located on the bed itself on the 2nd gen and through the fender on the 3rd gen. I would to see one though.

Ive been thinking the same thing. You cant find a really nice second gen. bed anymore, it seems. Ive have found many 3rd gen beds for very good prices. I even saw one locally go for $400, and it was a take-off. I thought there was someone in here that was going to do this hopefully they did and will post pics of it. If those body and cab lines would match up I think it would look great
