I started reminiscing about my old truck with the catcher today and got to thinking about the possibilities of a 3rd gen version. I think Marco is working on it, but I wonder where he is heading with it. The ecm has alot more influience on the fuel injection system than the 2nd gen, so I'm wondering if this new version will have big hp gains, like 200+, or will it be a drivability program? Will it eliminate the pilot injection, the 3rd injection event? Increase power and milage? I guess we will need to wait and find out. I just hope its not 3 years. ;)

man, I would like to have marco release a catcher for our 3rd gens also. I have been wondering about this for some time. Think about all the headaches he had with the 2nd gens having so many different programs for different years and model trucks. Then put that with all the different engine programs we have had along with the different trannies and the fact that the ECM has taken on more tasks on the 3rd gens, especially the 600 and 610 motors. He definitely has his work cut out for thim if he decides to tackle it. :D

I remember reading one of marcos posts and he said he was working on them but they were way more advanced than the 2nd gen ECM's. But at least with these common rail motors we have more control over the performance side compared to the 12 and 24 valve motors, but still if we could fine tune it, and say get rid of the 3rd injection event and so forth that would be awesome.
