Do the DRW trucks also need to use 17 inch wheels? I am needing front rotors and would like to do this but the 17 inch tire selection is not as good. I want to go back to Michelin XPS tractions but they do not list a 17.



I don't know the answer to that, but can you measure the minimum distance between the outside of the caliper or caliper bracket to the inside of the wheel rim? The bigger rotor of the 2003 brake setup moves the caliper ~1/2" further out radially. If you have ~3/4" minimum clearance on the existing brakes, the new ones will probably clear.

It sucks that there are no easy upgrades for 2wd brakes like the 4x4 guys get. Although hub/rotor assemblies like ours cost more, our bearings are cheap and reliable. My friend is a mechanic at Verizon and he says he replaces a lot of late-model Ram front hubs @ ~$500 ea for parts...
