i've seen tons o' posts concerning boxs for the 3rd gens

but no real info concerning injectors

did the 125hp injectors first on my 2nd gen

if limited to one (box or injectors) i would pick injectors

smooth even power across the board

won't void the warranty:p

so where are the edms for third gens?

if no edms then what injectors are available at all in the 125ish

range

don't care about smoke one way or the other

i'll let everyone experiment with the boxs for a while and see what the "concensus view" ends up being

I'd also like to see more info on "echo" injectors. Jannetty has some 80 horse ones that are reasonably priced. DD also has their stage I, II, and III's. F1 Diesel is SUPPOSED to be testing their EDM's now. I can't find out any more info regarding the F1's, but I bet they'll rock!

Injectors rule, but the boxes are cheap power. Too hard for most to resist (including myself).

Any info would be appreciated

Andy

I'd also like to here more on injectors. Been told by a few poeple that it;s better to do injectors over a box, but don't know enough about them to decide.

Don has had some setbacks on the EDM 3rd gen injectors but things are looking up. All the parts and pieces needed will be here next week and we should have something worked up in the following week or two. If everything goes smoothly they should hit the market by mid to late may.

Keep in mind big injectors will cause more boost to build thereby throwing and overboost code unless accompanied by a box with a boost fooler.

I have run DD stage 2's and stage 3's. I loved the way stage 3 injectors pulled with just the boost fooler on. Way hard and very smooth from the bottem. They are about 200* hotter than stage 2 injectors. The stage 2's with the EZ on 4 are my favorite. Lots of pull and not too hot. You will need a turbo to take full advantage of either injector. I reciently sold my stage 3's and am back at stock. I have the EZ on my truck as well as the Bomber Lite turbo. Great combo. Even steady power and not too much egt's. If I could do it all the way I wanted I would run the 3's with the EZ on 4 and get a DD Jammer turbo. Nice combo and about 400 HP every day.

SRadke,

i ran the 125's on my '01 for a couple o' months with everything else stock, no fooler ... no codes

are the 3rd gens different or did i just get lucky?

Idaho,

if you need someone to test those new injectors you can mail me a set ... i'll run 'em a few hundred thousand miles and let you know how they're doing:D

I don't know about the 01's. I've heard from a couple people that a boost fooler was needed on third gens to run big injectors.

You will need a boost fooler with just injectors. I took my truck to the dealer for a track bar and pulled the ez off down the street. As soon as I hit 30 psi the second time, check engine light came on. Tech at DC reset it for me and said he saw it all the time and didn't know why... .
