I would love to see TDR implement a 3rd generation performance/accessories section. It's too hard to tell people apart in the general area it is discussed in now, and I think the difference in the injection system is enough to assume 2nd and 3rd gens won't always respond to mods etc the same. Just a thought.

The same issue has always been there with the difference between the 1st gen, 12 valve 2nd gen, and 24v 2nd gen. How we've always worked it in the past is that stuff specific to an engine model goes in the appropriate generation specific forum. Same thing would apply to the 3rd gen. 3rd gen specific boxes, injectors, etc would go in the 3rd generation engine/transmission forum. Things like oil bypass filters, batteries, lights, horns, turbos, etc would go in the non generation specific products/accessories forum. We are trying to keep our list of forums to a manageable level. What I've found with forums is that at a certain point when the list of forums gets too large that it turns people off and that people tend to gravitate towards a couple forums. The current split of engine/transmission and non-engine transmission generation specific and then products/accesories for non generation specific stuff has been working for years. If you look at the number of posts right now in the 3rd gen engine forum and the 24v engine forum right now you'll see that they are within a few posts of each other. This was recommended earlier and we've discussed it with the moderators and between Robin and myself and right now we feel that the current split of forums is still working well. We will keep it in mind in the future however and will keep your input in mind.
