3rd Gen pickup bed value??

What's a 3rd gen long bed and tailgate worth? I have one that id like to get rid of. It's 99% on the outside and maybe 75% on the inside.

Several years ago I asked that question around west TX and found that retailers that had them generally wanted about $2500 for clean undamaged beds with tailgates.

Price always depends on demand. If lots of small businessmen and farmers in your area buy pickups and remove the bed to install a work body (which has been stupid since 2007 when the cab and chassis was reintroduced) you'll find a surpluse in your area drive the prices down.

We have a local re-fitter that sells whole beds with tailgates for $1200. They have them stacked up. 4th gen long beds.
I picked up a brand new full "Power Wagon" tailgate on ebay for $300

I have a buddy looking for a 3rd gen short bed complete in NE area

In Calif your best bet is list it on several forum's then also put it up on Craig's List I would say for price start out about $1000. 00 and go from there .

If you can get it great. But I just bought a very clean one with tailgate for $400.
