A friend of mine with a 3rd gen was razzing me today about how much the new tst box increases torque on the 3rd gens. He told me 500 torque increase and I raised the BS flag. We went out to TST's website and sure enough. So how is it that the 3rd gens can get to 1000 torque with stock turbos, exhaust, and air cleaners so easily when 2nd gen guy's like myself have Comp Drags, injectors, turbos etc. . and are still probably shy 200 torque to 1000? I see they (TST) claim they are getting all this power by adjusting pulse duration and advancing timing. Can pulse duration adjustment be done on the 2nd gens also? Don't think the Comp does that.

Thanks,

Ken

difference 2g to 3g.

the second gen VP-44 is an electronically controlled mechanical pump. THe Comp actually does increase pulse duration if the pump wire is tapped. I'm not sure why the 3g;s get so much more torque from the boxes but I think it has to do with the multiple injection events.
