4" & 5" Exhaust pre-orders from DD

Just FYI, DD has a pre-order special going on for 4" and 5" exhausts.

It's tempting, but I am thinking more of a dual outlet no-muffler setup if mine ever shows up. Probably will just straight-pipe it at first to see how it sounds before I put any cash into it.

Why?

They come from the factory with a 4" system.

I half-wonder why too, but I can think of a few reasons. .



1. 4" isn't big enough

2. I hear the downpipe is actually 3. 5"

3. Despite being 4", I bet the stock muffler is a restriction

4. Despite being mandrel bent, I haven't seen the stock exhaust and don't know how smoothly it flows



But anyway, I was just passing it along, I'm not planning to pre-order one.

3. 5" to muffler, 4" back to the tailpipe. I don't know if I've ever seen official advertising saying it's a 4" system, just articles people have written about the truck.

Update - they have videos with audio of both new exhaust systems up on that page. They sound pretty good.
