Attention: TDR Forum Junkies So last night I'm in bed about to doze off when I hear a loud crash and my truck alarm going off... . "Oh No!"
I jump out of bed and look out the front window at my truck parked on the street and there is a Honda Accord wedged under the front of my rig.
No driver, no lights, car is locked... stethescope and medical text books in back seat. Hummm..... I know a guy up the street is doing his residency at the UofU. I walk up the street a half block knock on his door... "Hey, you own a Honda Accord?" He looks over my shoulder at where it WAS parked and says "Oh, no... where's my car". I point to my truck at the end of the street and say "There it is, wedged under my truck".
The poor SOB pulled a typical mega-hour shift, came home, watched a little TV, ate a sandwich while his car crept (very minor slope) down the street until it met mine.
The lift I just put on saved me some time at the body shop. Busted my license plate holder off and tweaked the black trim under the bumper.
Money well spent. 2" lower as it was 3 weeks ago and he would have hit the bumper head on and done quite a bit more damage. :-laf
