4 Channel Amp

I just pruchased a 4-channel amp and wanted to know where some of you mounted it. Its pretty big and looks like the only place is under the rear seat. Got any other suggestions?

I mounted mine under the rear seat on top of the speaker box. I was told I would have cooling issues with the seat down, but so far so good. It's been there for about 3 years now. I don't listen to my music very loud either though. I just like a little better sound.

I've got 2 alpine amps under the rear seat for a total of 1100watts. No problems. I run it pretty loud once in a while.

Did you guys run the wiring under the carpet in tubing up to the dash? I'm thinking this is the best way to protect the wiring. Did you fasten it directly to the floor with sheet metal screws or bolts? Did you put something in between it and the carpeting? How did you fuse it? I'm thinking it is 400 watts, so a 40 amp circuit breaker with no. 8 cable is gonna work OK.
