I was looking through the Jegs catalog and they sell a jegs brand 4" turbo back exhaust for $299. (page 180, JUL/AUG/SEPT 04) Has anyone used this system? Just curious, as 299 seems awfully cheap and you usually get what ya pay for. they also have a lot of BD performance stuff and some bully-dog stuff too.

Jeggs has come a long way with reguard to diesel performance parts in the last year. They offer exhaust sytems both standard and stainless, fueling boxes, air intake kits and even replacement transmissions. I do alot of business with them every year, and have so since 1988. They all great to order from, they have such a big wharehouse that 95% of the time it is in stock and ready for shipment. I can call before 4PM and have it the next day, with standard shipping, I am only 150 miles from their shop. So far this year I have purchased a little over $8,000. 00 in parts from them alone. They and Summit Racing continue to be my favorite mail order shops. I hope more people on here give them a try, they have most items you would need at great prices and with excellent service. There main business is racing performance parts, but they handle a very large assortment of both racing, and performance parts for both the car and truck market. I have never had an order yet to get messed up, I like the conveniance of ordering off the internet, but for those who don't, they have a great sales staff that can take your order over the phone.

There are a few members here who have installed them who seem to be happy. Personally I did not go that route because I wanted a two piece tailpipe. Although a good price, $299 is not that great of a deal anymore for a 4" exhaust. Rip sells them for $320 and I think Pinnacle is about the same.

On a trip to Washington,I stopped in Oregon to picked up the $320. 00 4" turbo to tail pipe that Rip sells for a buddy's 94 Quad cab. He explained some minor problems we might encounter and the proper fix. Things to look out for with his application. I would buy again from him just on the heads up alone. Everything went in very smooth with no surprises. Rip Rook is the exhaust Guru in my opinion

No affiliation just a happy customer.

Yea I just bought a Pinnacle 4" 14ga thru ebay, for 300 + ship. Very nice system, no problems with it at all. . Came with a magna flow muffler...

I agree...

I agree fully Y-knot. Jegs is awesome! done lots of business with them in the past. And they have an awesome toll free techline!!! Summits not bad either. I just prefer jegs.

there's a guy from colorado with a white 2500 with the summit 4" i believe. it sounded great... louder than a magnaflow (big glasspacked) system. i don't remember his tdr name... RamThatStroker might know.

I just installed the $299 turbo-back kit from summit and am very happy with it. Instead of using the muffler supplied in the kit I just used a piece of 4" straight pipe and it sounds awesome. Loud when you get on it but I can still hear my radio no problem since all the sound is behind you. I had to bend a few of the hangers supplied in the kit to get it to line up, but it wasn't really a big deal. Besides the great price of the kit, from summit the shipping was only $10-$15 on a box that was fairly large and heavy. You can't beat the sound of a straight-piped Cummins!

I put the jegs turbo back stainless system on in June. Love it. It has a nice tone to it without being obnoxiously loud. I've been stopped in parking lots on several occasions for compliments, (you'll have to get used to that) and to ask about the system.

A cool install video comes with it also.

Jegs is a great company to do business with. Some day they will get real big and that might change.

I've personally seen that Jeg's kit on a newer Powerstroke. It's a quality system it seems. Good sound and flow, nice fit by the looks of it, and hasn't begun to rust yet in the roughly two years that it's been on up here in MN. ;) I'd spring for it but i'm undecided yet if I want stacks or a full turbo-back kit. I hear Dynomax also sells a Super Turbo kit for our diesels. Not sure which catalog it's in, Summit or Jegs. ??? I'd say that you can trust Jeg's to give you a good kit. I've done a good amount of business with them when I built my engine for my Chevelle. Always good service and fast shipping too!
