4" exhaust for HX40?

Is anyone out there making a replacement 4" system that bolts up to a hx 40?

The only HX-40 plumbing I'm aware of is the PDR downpipe. I've got mine wrapped with heat barrier tape and connected to a Banks system.

You mean the 4" flanged downpipe or the system from there back? We have both.

This is for a friend that is buying a 40 and he still has stock exhaust. I was wondering it there was a system that would allow an all bolt up install w/out welding.

You are looking for a complete 4" exhaust w/ HX40 down pipe in 1 package?

No, the stock exhaust is 3" and a HX-40 uses a 4" outlet and downpipe. You would need a 4" exhaust system to connect a HX-40.

When I bought the pdr-HX40 I bought the downpipe and clamp from Piers also.

Called RIP Rook and ordered a 4" system minus downpipe.

Everything fit together fine.

If I had it to do over I would probaly go with Rip's 5" system for visual impact. Just a thought, not a suggestion.



I would suggest that what ever you do use a straight through muffler like Allied or Donaldson, etc.



I'm sure there are other ways to go about this. Maybe someone else will say what they did.
