What is the going rate or "street price" for 4" exhaust these days. I don't really need stainless but want quality mild steel tubing. Anyone purchased a system from an online distributer that they like???
Rip Rook is your man at http://www.protintnw.com/sa-main.htm he knows exhaust systems amongst other things. Do a search on TDR, Rip Rook exhaust system and read the comments, Great customer service! and a Great price.
Don't know the quality but was looking in a summit Cat today and they have one for $299. 00, I was woundering myself if anyone has installed one of there's. Harv
Me And a buddy put the JEGS 4" system on our trucks his is a 00 4x4reg cab. It comes with a bullit style muffler. He put his on and left mine off . It comes made for a ex cab so you have to trime alittle for the muff, but if you dont use the muff you have to do a little welding to make it on there without a muff. The price is a little over 300$ and I think it is 16 or 18 guage and I dont have no drone just that deep big rig sound. I would give it a A on the 4x4 and a B on my 2x4 . Any Questions ask me
Put a Pinnacle Buttes or Jardine 4" exhaust on my '94 last year. From turbo back complete with a Megaflow Muffler was $435. What I don't understand is the diesel rattle was cut in about half.
I had mine installed at a local performance muffler shop for about $450. You should have seen the Ricers' eyes when they saw the stock exhaust come off. They got even bigger when the new exhaust started going on.
My JRE 4" has been great, turns alot of heads and has its own sound. Not to many in So Cal like it. I looked at there site and it appears the price went down some since I purchased mine. Easy install and has held up well over the past couple years. Good luck on your search... ... Dwayne
I got my pinnacle/Jardine from Piers, and I have had nothing but good things to say about it! It is light, sturdy, MANDREL BENT, so it's a true 4", unlike some of the other systems, and I paid about $375, but with no muffler... It makes a difference. . At the Dragstrip, they got me @ 102Db. . can we say LOUD??? Oh well, I am happy with my Pinnacle pipes.
If you want a system thats got 100% welded hangers like the factory systems, plated clamps, and comes with a 5 inch stainless tip standard check out the DPPI systems.
