oh all the selections... what to do. .

mbrp?

city muffler?

rip's?

stainless or alum?

4 or 5?

muffler? packed or nonpacked muffler?

duals?

had a 5" under truck and went to stacks. now returning back to under the truck. do i save a couple bucks and just go with the 4" , maybe straightpiped, of just go back to the city muffler 5". any help or pics helpful. including monster tips. form and function are both in consideration.

i know 4 is good for 500+ hp, which is ok. around my target hp.

looking good sound, louder than stock, just not right behind my ears! :)

please help. .

Go with the straight pipe and no muffler, runs better and sounds better. Myself I like the sound from stacks :-laf and the trail of BLACK smoke :D !!

OK... . heres my decision...

rips 4" kit. bolt on hangers with diamond eye muffler with no packing.

5" pro-flo kit. with welded hangers and diamond eye with no packing.

or mbrp 4" 4" alum kit. with welded hangers and packed muffler.

after talking to rip he said 4" without packing will take the edge off of it and will not get louder as it breaks in. thats what i like about the unpacked muffler.

id really like a system with welded hangers to the pipe.

and want to assemble with strap clamps instead of the rusty junk.

ive had a 5" kit on the truck previously and liked it. but it didnt have welded hangers. this one listed above does. but i know i really dont need 5", even with a projected hp of 500 hp.

if i go with the 4",i want to add a big 6" tip on the end and not show the transition.

post your pics... .

If theres any chance of rust do not weld , if your in a none rust area then weld . I lived in Minnisota and No California and found that the welded areas rust becouse the welding changes things -even the aluminized -might need to retorq fasteners but at the cost of these systems rusting is something you can't fix .
