Anyone know of a company/manufacture out there that makes one. I have 4" blocks now but want to rotate the rear end housing up a bit before the ladder bar install. I've called everywhere and no one seems to make them because of our center pin size. Any ideas?

Bob,

Do you know of anyone out there that makes 4" tapered block for us 3rd gens? What about shims?

I have never looked, I prefer going with a spring that is the correct height with the kind of power and weight we have. I have a full leaf pack from Carli that made a very big improvement over the mini pac I had previously. Deaver springs has been my spring builder since '73. It looks like most places in Cali still choose Deaver. You may have to hit up a machine shop to make up degree shims in the configuration you need.

I have the Tuff Country rear 4" tapered blocks on my Mega Cab and they have the right spring bolt pattern. I had the Superlift blocks in the rear of my 03 and they where tapered also. Tuff Country blocks

I absolutly do not want new springs. I did it already for less then 24hrs. I HATED IT!!!! Yes they were Deaver. Had them take them back out and refund my money the next day. Horrible, horrible, horrible ride!!! The Deavers that went in were made specifically for me but without the overloads. Just a big spring pack. Don't get me wrong, they looked beautiful. My truck rides like a caddy right now with the blocks. I've had my 6" Superlift installed for about 3 years now. With 4" blocks in the back, but they are not taperd. I did this because my truck is a 3500 and I didn't want to lose the tow rating with the overloads. But after the last round of power mods (cp3, twins, smarty) I'm at the level mow where axle wrap is a major problem (2 carrier bearing in 3 days).

I actually located 4" tapered springs. I called Tuff Country directly. (Funny Superlift said no) Got an exact part number. Wifey already went over and picked them up. They should be going in on Sat. along with ladder bars. The tapered will alow me to rotate the rear a bit more. Thanks to all for the tips/suggegtion. Another reason TDR pays for itself. :p
