I have never before had any probs with my 4wd, yesterday I put it in 4wd high, no light no nothing. I then put the truck in neutral and engaged the 4wd low, still no light but it did engage. So it wont go in 4w high but it will go in 4w low, with no light on anything. This is the first time this has ever happened any idseas what to look for? Thanks.

Check the vacuum lines running to the CAD on the front axle. One of them may be cracked or broken off and not allowing the fork to move.

i had the same problem. i would engage 4w high (or 4w low), i felt it engage but there was either no light or a delay on the light coming on. once i took it out of 4w i noticed it did dis-engage but the light would continue to flicker for about 10 minutes, if not longer or even stay lit for an extended period of time. ended up my u-joints were shot to *****.

Sounds like your T-case is working OK, but the Central Axle Disconnect isn't. Look for 2 vacuum lines running down to the front axle on the passenger side, and make sure they are both hooked up, and in good shape. Did you try moving the truck to engage it? Sometimes I have to roll the truck a few feet before mine kicks in all the way.

Jim

Yeah tries rolling the truck ususally I havr to to get it to engage, I will check thjose lines and see just wanted some ideas b4 I tackle it later thanks for all the help.

I think the 4wd light is kinda wimpy on all the 12v's. Mine would just stay on no matter what all the time so i just took the bulb out!
