How Much is a good deal????

I would like the diagram that will allow the use of low range on hard surfaces without all that binding. This was posted in the past and I thought I saved it but can not find it. I also tried several searches and the limit of 4 characters had me going to find 4 in the word low. (backing in a tight place to turn around and uphill made me realize what I was missing when the 3:55 and the surge the computer gives you kicks in). Thanks.

Happy... I don't have the diagram, but I purchased and installed the BD2Low kit from BD. Its a nice, quality kit and works great. I use it when I am backing up trailers into my barn... its kind of a tight fit! This kit allows me to back up without having to continually slip the clutch.

I used a 2speed air switch for a Fuller Roadranger trans. It mounts on the shift lever in the up position blocks the vacuum to the t/case -- down the front axle works normally. The switch is Fuller #A3546 and lists for $48 at any big truck dealer.

Thank guys! That is what I need. Tired of those slingshot reverse thread the needle.

I have gravel and use low range and it is the difference between daylight and dark. Thanks again.

Another option is by passing the factory control valve and using a manual control valve. I mounted a push-pull valve, similar to a two speed axel switch, only mechanical, to the transfer case shift lever and ran 1/8" tube through the shift boot. Now I can engage and disengage the front axel any time regardless of whether or not the transfer case is engaged, unlike some of the other kits that have to be engaged BEFORE you shift the transfer case.

Yet another option is to use an electrically operated vaccuum switch. (Used on gasolene engines for control of EGR system) Install the switch in the vaccuum line going down to the transfer case, wire a switch, and you're all set.

Good luck with it.
