I have some problems with outer front tire wear. Replacing the track bar solved some of the problems, but some outer wear continues. I am accustomed to outer front tire wear with a solid front axle, on a Dana 44 on a 1976 Cherokee. I was able to solve/reduce the problem with replacement steering knuckles. Does anyone have any experience with a similar fix for a D/C? Suggestions?

I believe there is a camber kit available for the front. This would allow some camber adjustment. My 01 was within specs with camber but needed the caster and toe adjusted. Ideal camber would be +. 25 left and -. 25 right. Caster should be +3. 5deg. Toe should be set at 1/32"in. Ive used these specs on all straight axles including KWs,Peterbilts, etc. I have 24k on my truck and its not showing any kind of wear.

HUH????

Mr. Brolin, why would you put in positive camber on one side and negative on the other? Logic would dictate that making them symetric would make any vehicle go straight down the road... . please explain!

Correct, if the road was flat. But roads have a crown and, typically, the vehicle is driven on the right side of the road. If the settings were identical, the vehicle would ten to pull to the right. Setting them different compensates for the crown. Of course, when driving on the left side of the pavement, the truck will have a slightly greater tendency to pull to the left. But this only applies to turned-up speed freaks whose trucks just can't drive 75. :D
