Have a '97 2500 4 x 4 and will be replacing the steering box for the 3rd time. Have only 78k miles. Does anybody have any knowledge or experience with the AGR Rock Ram setup? This system adds 2 ports to the box, hydraulic lines, a high flow pump and a power cylinder which replaces the steering stabilizer. Was told it takes about 50% of the load off the pitman arm shaft of the box; which is where my boxes have failed.

I have the regular AGR box and would not have another, this is the second for me. The second one is ok, but lacks the assist at idle that it should have.

Fortunately, I have a wholesale commercial account w/4 whl parts wholesaler's and the warranty on the first one was not a problem.

The joker in Customer service at AGR was worthless.

I think you have a deeper problem. My rebuilder can remanu. an oe box that will be right and last.

Is the linkage moving too far, ie the steering stops not catching it. Or do you do rough off-roading?

Send me a PM if you want to chat off list.

Good luck,

Andy
