I just installed a tank in our new 08 Dodge and I got no response from the pump when running the test procedure.
There are a couple things that could be causing the problem that I can think of.
1. I am not getting ignition hot power, I did not have a test light so I pulled power from the sunroof fuse. I am just not sure I am on the correct side of the fuse. ( I am going out to check this later) For now we unplugged it.
2. The gauge on the dash/factory tank has too little fuel in it. There is only about 1/8 of a tank right now.
3. I screwed something up.
Because the pump wouldn't come on I unplugged the power from the fuse panel. Now the guage on the dash is pegged at empty, is that because there is no power now? If that is the case I am assuming that the main tank is too low to run the pump and/or test procedure.
I will report back with what I find, I am posting this for the small chance someone can give me an answer in the next hour before I head back out to trouble shoot.
Thanks, Joe
