Can anyone tell me if I need to change more than the exhaust springs(60#) to use the Peirs 4000 vs 3000 rpm springs?

Any reason to go with either setup?



Itching to put them in and the new 370's sitting in this Canadian UPS box. :D :D

Yep, you got it right the intake and exhaust both gotta be changed out for the 4k kit. With the 3k kit you can get away with the stock springs.

I remember doing the 4k kit and not doing my valve springs, but I could hear the springs dancing around after about 3400 rpm.

When you do the springs be kinda careful at first cuz the thing will rev to 4k before ya kow it. :D

The most fun I had with my truck was after the gov kit went in there.

Thanks Don, put the 60#'s in on the exhaust for the BD a while back. Guess the 3k will have to do. They ain't doing me any good in the box. Hopefully this next weekend.
 
oh oh. oh oh what a feelin!

Yes i too love the 4k springs but i dont rev it there! One reason is the valve springs havent been changed YET! comming friday. and the crank doesnt like to be taken up that high RESONATION and really no more power to gain. But the difference in the rev time with the 4k springs a great!!!:D

You may want to get high flow delivery valves for those 370's;)
