Can I get to 400RWHP by putting in the Edge Juice w/Attitude, with the other acc. that i have. I ill be dumping the Banks 6 Gun/spd loader. Or should I get the HOT JUICE? TIA... SCOTT

I dyno'd 370rwhp with standard Juice/Attitude, AFE Stage I, Cat back exhaust and BFG 315s. Stock everything else.
 
You'll get over 400hp with a manual trans with standard juice/att.



I did 460 with edge and ez stack. That was with a broke juice box too. I bet I'm not the door of 500hp now.
 
My stock 325 600 6speed truck put down 306 hp @ SJD dyno event in MO. That was through a dirty stock air filter. I don't have as far to go to get to 400. We had really good air that day. You can bet I was happy with that.

Only a 6% HP lose at the wheels? That uncorrected or corrected 306hp?
 
I dont see a turbo in your sig.

I can not speak for everyone else here on the forum, BUT we are all running 3rd gens here so I am confident in saying this...

You may be able to dyno at 400hp but it will not be "useable" horsepower. I dyno'd a year ago at 390 hp but again it was not useable h. p. cause my EGTs were at 1500 degrees.

Now with my new Super B Special turbo I did 3 dyno runs and on the last run I hit 415 hp before the turbo got spooled up, because I ran out of fuel to feed the motor so now I am getting a new fuel pump and then back to the Dyno.

The dyno run before the above one I hit 397 H. P. and only 1150 degrees EGTs which you can see is way better than my run a year ago with the stock turbo.

So I doubt that anyone here is really pushing a "useable" 400 h. p. with the stock turbo and not going over 1300/1350 EGTs

I will say once you can actually daily drive with that kind of H. P. it is awsome :D

I may get to see a brief 1450EGT just as I get to 100mph before the truck defuels. I can maintain 100mph for a while at under 1000EGT's and 22psi. This is all unload. Loaded, that's a different story. This is on an average 80 degree day.



at 475-500hp is the limit of the stock 04. 5 turbo I would venture to say

True ( I forgot about that part) 03 and early 04s s. o. and h. o. have a smaller turbo than the 04. 5s but do you think he can get 400 rwhp and keep his EGTs under 1300 / 1350 ?

I cant see an 04. 5 turbo being good for 475-500 rwhp useable h. p. heck some guys here are hitting 1350 egt on stock motors towing on 04. 5s

I dyno`d right at 400 RWHP and 790 ftlb with my Juice w/Attitude, AFE intake and flow through Donaldson. Temps were over 1300. My stock clutch will slip a little holding WOT in 6th as it goes through 2300 rpm. That is on level 3/3.

Jason I would guess uncorrected. It was 40 degs out ~1200' elevation (not sure what St Joe MO is). I can't tell from the dyno sheet. I think when they advertise a HP number some trucks are going to be higher and some lower. It appears mine was feeling good that day. They don't want too many low ones so I figure most broken-in trucks put out above that 325 number at the flywheel. On a hot day here in July its probably 290 truck. Ford had that problem with the cobra not making advertised hp and the had to go back and put new exhaust ect on those cars.

I hear ya on the good days... some days my truck is just like "watch out, I wanna go fast now!!!!" and other days it's like " %$#@ you"



at -2 out. . my truck is like "$#@% you... . " :)
 
If you guys are feeling that the stock turbo cant hold this kind of H. P. What turbo is the way to go and keep daily driveability? TIA... . Scott

I am sure the general consensus will be the II SPS62 although I went with the Super B special which is also a 62 and I will say I like the driveability of the truck much more than before, now the power rolls on smoother and EGTs are very much in control with room to grow
