Quick question; I just received my tail pipe turndown tip from Geno's, do I need to cut my truck tail pipe straight so the tip will fit correctly? Due to the angle of the turndown tip and the angled cut of my tail pipe it doesn't want to slide on all the way.

When I put a very slightly angled tip on my pipe, I had to trim a couple of inches from the end to keep it from sticking out too far. So I guess the answer to your question is yes, you need to cut it. I was able to get my portable metal bandsaw in far enough to do it. Quicker than by hand which is still do-able.
