DEE... I've got the larger housing on the front and a 14cm exhaust, four inch turbo back. Was talked out of the HX40 16cm by three different people, mostly because of turbo lag... I'm real happy with this set-up, It now screams, lower EGT's, better boost, better top end pull. Awaiting new fuel lines. . Will be up your way to re-test hopefully, this week. . Heber

Steve, How fixed you up with the turbo? Was it the place in SLC that did brett's?

Mine runs out good although my EGT are very high at anything over 2500 RPMs. Let me know when you come up I'll try and make it...

Heber Ram--how is your HX40 setup--housing sizes--was it prepped by anyone or any extra info---what other mods(bombs) do you have---since my HX40 died & I've reinstalled the sotck turbo and have now got all the mods on I would like to know what to expect and maybe avoid high EGT's cuz I sure can get 'em in a hurry with the stock turbo with DDIII's & PE & EZ---thanks chris

Dee... Got the set-up with Jason at Baker's diesel in Ogden. I think it is the same one Brett of Power Edge has on his truck. It wasn't cheap, $495. 00 for the turbo, $180. 00 for the 4" mandrel bend to the muffler. Also eliminated the resonator. Works great! Replaced the lift pump and injection pump, they both went out, and replaced the injectors with DD3's. The BD stage 3's were found to be defective, with one of them pluged with some foreign matter. Mike at BD replaced the stage 3's and we will try to compare this week with the DD3's. I'm waiting on my new fuel lines from Branson, before I re-Dyno. . I'll let you know if this week. .

Chris... The front half of the turbo is the same size as the HX-40, however, the back half is a 14cm exhaust port, instead of 16cm on the HX-40. It is wastgated and clocked to fit. I've got the wastgate plugged. No other "twiking" to the turbo. I'm running DD3's, EZ, and propane. I have not tried an HX-40, however, a lot of guys have, and have gone to this set-up because of the loss of performance (turbo lag)at the low end. I don't think they had as much bombing as you and I do, and I'm not planning on going much higher in HP at this time. I think the HX-40 should be "OK" with your set-up!... Sorry to hear about your problems with the HX-40 and Majestic... Don't let them get away with any thing!!!Keep us posted... Heber
