4500/5500 bullet

Does anyone know if they are for sure governed at 75 mph? If so can they reproggrammed.

I know your asking about the Bullet, but Jelag's 5500 is and no one has posted a way around it yet that I've seen. I believe they are limited to 75 mph because of the tire ratings.

We have as customers several Cummins authorized repair locations... We intend to ask 2 questions... .

1 - can they turn off the speed settings like we had done on a 10L Cat engine...

2 - is there a toggle in the ECM like the connections for the pacbrake on the 5. 9's that will turn the engine speed up so that PTO speed can be obtained with a PTO unit installed... .

We've noted in the up fitters manual on our 08 that there is a toggle to set the speed up when your stationary... for the PTO... we'd like to do that with our other trucks for a couple of other reasons... .

I guess that sometime I should read the repair manual of our 5. 9's and find out... just need some real time for that...
