I have a 1976 gmc 6500 with a 454 interceptore mated to a clarke 5spd I want to ditch the 454 gasser for a diesel i found a 6BT 210hp on diesel trader web site for $6000 or a CAT 3116 250 hp out of a 94 kodiak for $5500 but what am I going to need to do? the radiator should work am I going to need an intercooler? I have no idea how to go about this!

thats the site I went to I added extra for intercooler + not having an exchange. know I found an 80 ford with air brakes and a 5+2 Eaton will the 5. 9 Cummins from a Dodge mate up to an Eaton??? that is definitely the route I'm taking!!I'll drop in an early 89,90,91 Cummins 5. 9 then I can get filters by the case and they will fit both engines. and I can still come to tdr and get all my answers!! any ideas on where to find the 5. 9???????????Thanks a bunch!!

I am sure that there is an adapeter that will make it fit the eaton the blocks are all pertymuch the same dust differant plates bolted to the rear

5.9 cummins

i now where a 5. 9 is for around 4000. 00 and it only has 22,000 miles on it. let me know if interested there is an auto trans and transfer case there to but they where not together. the motor is a 98 12 valve.

Thanks but was looking for a 89-93 gave up bying 1990 International 4900 with a DT466Oo. .
