454 long block+ core value

At the company I work at part time we have an old 80's Chevy 454 long block plus oil pan and timing cover. I pulled the engine and swaped in a '95 back in '97. Its been so long and I had just started at the company at that time so I have forgotten exactly what was wrong but I think it was probably bad cam/lifters (truck spends a lot of time idling along on rough roads so lacks lube to cam). I don't really know the complete condition so I'm wondering if anyone here has any idea what core value would be on something like this. I know someone who might want to pick it up and I would be glad to get it out of my way. Thanks.

At one time I believe these had significant value, but with the advent of the 502 crate motor and other derivatives, its value is probably significantly less. Probably worth something to someone who wants a period-correct engine, though.
