I saw the local dealer last night and he said they have a customer that is not happy with his 03. He has a 2500 QC SO/47RE 4:10's and when towing ~8800lbs, it has no ass on the highway. So, the dealer took it for a spin and said in town it feels like it should but once up to speed on the highway, it loses ground and his foot has to stay buried to keep it up to highway speeds. He really wants to help this guy out. They have diagnosed everthing from the transmission to the engine and everything is fine.
This guy traded in a 2000 47RE 4:10's and is very disappointed. The dealer can't recommend aftermarket, and has offered to trade him out with a HO/48RE for cost. He said no, fix this one.
So, is there something anyone has experienced? Could it be the difference in the axles? How about the turbo? He asked if I could post this for the experts can you help?
