Is There A Spring On Top Of The Plastic 1-2 Accumulator Piston?

Nope. I thought the same as well and posted on here a while back about it.

Good to know I swapped in a valve body saturday, dropped the accumulator out of the case, so I checked the manual and is shows two pictures, one with a spring and one without. its all back together now and shifting ok.
