Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 47re interchange

I have found a 47re case. Is it inter changable with a 99 ?. In other words will my 99 parts bolt right in with out any hassles. I have assumed all 47re cases were the same but this one states 96-98

I believe there may be some changes to the electronics over the years, which may necessitate swapping items over.

But the actual bare/empty aluminum case is the same right ?
