Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 47RE shifting prob. help.

1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel 47RE 4WD trans will shift fine and then it will

act up and not shift to 3rd gear unless i get out of it. help do not want to go to stealership.

You're gonna need someone with a scanner, or at least a good multimeter and a wiring diagram. I'd want to know what the desired and actual governor pressure is (to start) and TPS Voltage, to start.
