Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 47RE Slips Out of Gear

In the morning when the truck is cold the transmission acts like it goes into neutral with the shifter still in 'd' if I leave it alone it'll reengage in few seconds or I can bump the throttle and it will reengage that way. It's does it at every stop until it gets to the right operating temp then it goes away. Any thoughts as to why it might do this.

Trans is wore out, time for a rebuild.
