Ok can someone tell me how to disconnect these transmission cooler lines I pulled the brass clip thinking the line would pull apart please help tell me what the trick is. Is it a special tool or something???
There is a special tool to remove them. I bought a set at an auto parts store in different sizes. They look like half of a piece of tubing in different diameters. You slide them into the fitting and it releases the connector. The have fancy metal ones but the plastic ones I bought were inexpensive and work fine for the occasional user.
if you wanna do it the cheap way 2 small screw drivers one on either clip and pull the line apart... i dont recomend it unless your in the middle of nowhere and need to get the job done
Did one just last week. I had a short piece of 1/2" pvc rigid water line in the garage. I cut it length wise down the middle, slid each piece into each side of the coupler and it popped right off. Cheap and dirty and no loss if you throw it awat.
