Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 47re transmission question

I have broken 2 band struts, what gives is it me, or is there a problem in the transmission?

I bought the truck used so i am not sure about the transmission. I assume it has a shift kit. The truck has a banks exhaust, and had guages at on time. The engine is not chipped. I do drive with a havy foot but no hole shots or the like.

Yeah, if it's stock you gotta drive with a heavy foot. Some valve bodies and shift kits had that problem. Something isn't set rite. The band adjustment may make some difference.

You could probably use a heavy duty strut. Call dave Goerend. He will fix you right up pronto.

Ditto on replacing the strut. Replace the anchor as well.
