So, when my transmission gets up to 140 degrees or warmer it will not downshift to 1st gear when coming to a stop. I can manually downshift to 1st gear then place the shifter back in drive and it'll work like normal. When the transmission temp is below 140 it downshifts as it should. The only mods to the transmission are a transgo shift kit, borg warner governor pressure solenoid, and a BD Diesel transducer upgrade. I checked the tv cable, but it was already adjusted properly. What could the issue be?

I'm having the same issue. I can down shift to first manually and it works. I'm not sure it works under 140 degrees sure about the temp issue.
Here is what I tried
- I replaced the solenoid and transducer. No change
- I did the ATS GM solenoid upgrade no change
- Transmission shop rebuilt the valve body. no change

I replaced the TPS/Apps thinking it may the computer might not think it was at idle. but no change

I'm having the same issue. I'm not sure if it is temperature dependent.

so far I have
- changed the governor pressure solenoid and transducer. no change
- Did the ATS governor solenoid upgrade. no change
- had transmission shop rebuild the valve body. no change

Automatic downshift to first very rarely occurs by itself, you have to be down to 3mph or something to make it happen.
I shift manually all the time if I think second is to tall.
