47RE Won't shift out of 1st and reverse

1999 24v with a newly built transmission last year.

Truck got stuck in mudhole and blowed a transmission line, fixed the line and refilled with new fluid, truck wouldnt shift out of 1st but has reverse. Changed pressure governor sensor and speed sensor on side of trans. Speed sensor plug was broke but seems to be usable. Relay under the hood is warmer than the others. Even changed out to a new transmission. Still will not shift out of 1st gear! Any help greatly appreciated! We are lost in what to do next.

Have you tried to pull the codes and see what's showing up if anything.

And are you sure its 1st gear only and not 3rd gear, only reason I say that a bad or broken or incorrect trans temp sensor will cause 3rd gear starts, could have an issue with that if its 3rd gear only. I think the 48RE is 2k ohm on that, the older ones are 1k resistance.

I would check the 8pin connector for the 5vdc and the sort. I know the pin out varies a little bit on the 48RE from the 47RE I have. This might help....
