Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 47rh valvebody in a 47re?

is it possible to run a 47re with a 47rh valvebody to avoid the electronic govenor? i am putting a 89 12 valve in a 96 ram 2500 that had a v10 and want to keep the overdrive and lockup, even if i have to use toggle switches.

THere is no governor pump in the 47RE. You need governor pressure from somewhere.

A 47RH won't fit in the truck either. The trans is a little longer because of the fly weight governor in the tail shaft. Maybe a CPM from a '96 diesel will work with that transmission and the other stuff. Probably have to get a diesel dash as well. You need a '96 service manual to see what the difference is in the wireing. The RH vb probably won't work with that transmission anyway.

A 47RH vb can be put in a 47re as long as your don't mind the truck being set up as a full manual shift.
