Long time reader, first time poster. I can generally find the answer to my question by searching and reading but I'm stumped. 12V cummins with 47rh 2wd.

Reverse worked great, got cut off the other day driving down the interstate with the TC in lock up. Slammed on the brakes and got on the shoulder to avoid flattening a Kia.... Truck stalled and cut off. Luckily made it to the shoulder and everything seemed fine. Started right back up, Lock up off, drove home no problem. Went to back it out on Friday and no reverse. Transmission feels like it shifts into reverse, let off brake and it starts to slowly creep but any throttle and it just revs up. Checked fluid level, warm in neutral, and it was good. Pushed the truck out, put it in D and worked fine. Pushed it out and went to 1st and 2nd, drove fine. Back to reverse and same thing, feel it shift in but doesn't move. Blocked the front wheels, jacked up the rear end, put it in R and wheels started spinning. Applied throttle and wheels spun faster. Back on the ground, no movement. Hit the internet for answers. After a good bit of reading thought it could be the Wave Snap ring in the O/D housing that broke. Made the most sense to me.

Dropped the pan today, no signs of broken ring. Pulled the O/D housing off, thin ring in front was really loose, pulled out the front clutch pack to look at the Wave Ring hoping to find it broken or something. It looks fine! Now I have resorted to asking y'all, who know a lot more than I do. Any ideas as to what could be causing it? Thanks!
