I have a nagging issue that has began to grow. #48 fuse that powers the heated seats and the power mirrors will pop after 15 minutes. There doesn't seem to be a short to ground with checking with a test light. If I put a fuse in and drive around without using the seats or mirrors it will still pop. I have a downloaded fsm yet I find it hard to follow.

Found the heated seat control module under drivers seat and unplugged it and fuse still pops. Problem not there. Unable to locate the power mirror control module. If I know where it is I can unplug it and see if the fuse still pops to rule it in or out.

My guess is that it it the supply for power for those 2 items that has rubbed a spot to ground.

Anyone have any worldly advice? I really don't want to take it to dealer for warrenty work due to 45min one way and they will want the truck for at least a day.

Well I guess that I had some better luck. I found that the wiring next to a connector under the left kick panel had been rubbed by the parking brake. It seemed very poor placed and not protected from moving parts.

Hopefully this will inspire others to look at thier wiring around the parking brake foot.

Picture on the left shows the loop that gets in the way.

The picture on the right is dark, yet there are 4 wires all grated down by the lever and the red one had black burn marks from the sparking.

The harness had a twist in it that forced it over to lever. I have never touched that harness. Mark this one up for dodge.
