Well I think my trans is going. When cold it engine revs when starting out. Truck has 96,000 and I tow a whole lot of boats. It is due for a fluid and filter change. Try that and see where it goes.



Anyone know of a good shop in Virginia?

It's due cause it never got done or it's been 20k mi. ?

Try this tomorrow am, start it, then put it in neutral for 30 seconds before trying drive away.

If that helped it, it is simply converter drain back, which is common for these. Don't worry about it.

I found a good shop here in Warsaw, Virginia.



Johnny at Northern Neck Transmission said to bring it by and he would check it out. He put a pressure solenoid in and a sensor and flushed the trans, new filter. He said these items go bad and most shops "sell" a new transmission.



He said typically between 80-120,000 usually.
