48 RE transmission hard shifting from first to second.

Hi, Guys good afternoon, I have 2 issues with this transmission(48RE), by the way/ I have a 2006 ram megacab 5.9 l cummins 3rd generation. The is what happened: One, the transmission won't lock up on parking; two: after that ,start shifting late from one to second gear. the truck has a 252k already?, one owner "me", je je je.I did one time changed the temperature season and the pressure solenoide.
Any Ideas?

Not locking into park is probably cable adjustment. Adjuster is behind the knee bolster for length, and on the plastic part that clips into the holder on the transmission.

Late 1-2 shift then everything works is usually the output shaft speed sensor on the OD unit, cheap piece just get a new one.

Hi, Thank you for the advice, on the shifting issue , you mean the governor pressure solenoid ?,on the no lock in parking issue you mean under the stern column?

Yes on the adjustment. It is under the steering column.

The output shaft speed sensor is external to the trans and on the OD unit. The gov solenoid and transducer are inside. Change the external one first and see what happens.

Hi, thanks for the advice, i did replaced the output shaft speed sensor, still the same, i did ordered already the temp sensor transduser and the governor pressure solenoid, do you have any link for a video to see the actual adjustment on the parking lock issue?

Check on youtube, likely something there. Might as well replace the other pieces then if the output shaft sensor did not help. they all work together and at times hard to tell which one is the real problem.

I dont recall if the 05+ TV style 48re's have the same linkage or not, but check this video for another idea for the park issue.
