Long time listner first time caller!

What is the fluid capacity of an 03 48re transmission. I have 33K on my 03. I don't have any issues with the trans but will be changing the fluid and adjusting the bands at 50K. Will be changing to Amsoil

If you wait until 50k and ran above 200* for any amount of time,You should service at 15 to 20K. Don"t worry about the bands,I have had several 47re and a couple 48re and the bands are never out adjustment. If you ran above 220* and do not service at 15k you may have accelerate wear. Trans fluid should be change at temp+miles ,Not miles only. Now if you stay under 190* you probably could service at 25K and be safe. IF ABOVE 230* SERVICE AT 15k MAX.

I almost forgot stock pan 7-8 qts depends on the level and length of drain.

That a good decision, Make sure they only use ATF+4 for warranty reasons

What? got a quote of $200 to change to Amsoil and vendor said 15 quarts? Does Amsoil void the warranty? Thanks, Doc

4 gallons on a complete flush is about right, on stock TC/VB,Pan. NO other manufacture has ATF+4 EXCEPT MOPAR. If dealer is paranoid about warranty work payment and checks fluid warranty work could be deny. I think their are many other products out that will be just fine, warranty reasons only stick with ATF+4. if that is your desire.
