48RE from 04 to 05?

have a 2004 1/2 with 48RE and a 2005 with 48RE. Question! Can the 04 1/2 be reprogrammed so the tow/haul mode will allow the 48RE to go back into lockup like the 05 does?

the ecm on the 05's has more memory. so I doubt that they will be able to reprogram the 04. 5 the same as the 05... but I may be wrong???

What did your dealer tell ya? I'm betting they are the only ones who would be able to reflash your ecm anyway. I've never heard of any aftermarket programmer's that reprogram the entire transmission control system and that what you want.

have not checked with dealer yet. In all probability the dealer will say no whether they know or not. Thought I would forearm myself with info before approaching the dealer. Thanks.
