I saw a display board that had a lot of the internal changes between the 47RE and the 48RE. Quick summary
Saw a 6 pin carrier instead of a 5
changed the aluminum carrier to cast iron
Pump has more offset in the rotor pocket
and quite a few other changes and they appeared to be directed at diesel applications.
So maybe it won't be a slush box anymore
