I'm installing my superior shift kit. I purchased a sonnax billet accumulator piston kit to go in the trans as well. The shift kit instructions from superior show two springs going in for the accumulator piston. A smaller diameter spring supplied in the kit from superior that goes in the top side of the piston, and a larger diameter spring that goes between the piston and the valve body that is not supplied with the kit. Instructions say to use the original.
The original spring referred to by the instructions was not present when I disassembled. Is there any possibility thos was intentional, or is this a case of previous builder screwed up and I need to source a replacement?
